Enet Smart Home (Jung / Gira )

Hi!
Before i decide if i want to "dig further" into rflink - i have question that some of you might be able to shine some light on.
In my house the electrical wiring is based on the german system called ENET Smart home.
It's a join venture between several large german companies.

The system - is based on a central din mounted server - that turn on / off some outlets / dimmers etc.
they output is control via app - or via wireless transmitters.

I am interested in the wireless transmitters - being that it would be very nice to able to interact with the signals they send - and hence use the button presses to do several other tings (outside their own closed system ).

When i read about the system - it looks like it's a "scaled down" version of KNX for smaller houses / apartments.

When i look at the specs on their homepage:

Radio frequency: 868.0 ... 868.6 MHz

https://www.jung.de/lv/interneta-katalogs/350780563/

can anyone comment on this?

Do i realisticly have a chance of using this with rflink?

Have nice day!

Br Hostrup

The frequency range used suggests that it's in the Z-Wave ballpark, and as eNet states that it's using 'standards' (though not easily found what standards) this would require more investigation. Based on that I don't expect it to be RF-Link compatible, but I know exactly nothing about RF-Link ;)

Hi!
Wondering if it's z-wave - that would be very neat - but i am afraid that it's some kind of prop. technology they use :)

Well, I tried to do a couple searches, but it doesn't seem to be Z-Wave compatible, but it is KNX compatible, it seems.

Maybe you can wire an ESP controller to the switches to 'press' them for you, or do you have some documentation on how the server part can be interfaced via tcp or http/https?

Hi!
Well - it's the other way arround i am interested in.

The server - is accessible (via some hacks ) but i managed to get access via the web and some javascript - so i am able to control the lights.

but i am interested in "capturing" the button events - so that i can "reassign" a button - to eg. turn on my coffe machine -
but i am not able to find the "button presses" inside the server - unfurtunatly
so my hope was to somehow be able to "sniff" the radio communcation - going from my wireless contacts - to the server
and hence reacting on them.

Hi,

As far as I know, RFlink does not work with Jung devices at 868 mhz.
Btw, it is not just the frequency that plays a part, it is also the modulation type that is important and if rolling codes/encryption is used.
